Teaching register

Your teaching register, kept as you go.

Teachers are expected to keep a record of what they taught, in case it's ever checked. Teachivo puts your timetable's lessons in a list, so logging one takes a topic and a tap or two, and the whole register is ready to download whenever your school asks.

Saves about 2.5 min per lesson in your register

No card required. Time savings are estimates, not measurements.

How it works

  1. Step 1

    Add your timetable

Upload a screenshot, photo or PDF of your timetable and Teachivo reads your lessons, including two-week (Week A and Week B) timetables.

  2. Step 2

    Log each lesson in seconds

Tap a lesson, type what you taught and tap a tag or two. Add curriculum outcomes or a note if you want them. If a lesson didn't run, pick the reason.

  3. Step 3

    Download it when it's needed

Choose the classes and dates and download a tidy PDF to hand to your school, or an Excel file to sort and filter.

A record you can stand behind

Straight from your timetable

Each week's lessons are listed on their real dates. Lessons not logged yet stand out, and the dashboard asks about the one you just taught.

Curriculum outcomes, not just topics

Tick the outcomes a lesson covered from the NSW syllabus, the Victorian Curriculum or the Australian Curriculum, so your register shows the right content was taught.

Every gap explained

Excursions, carnivals, absences and school holidays are recorded as reasons, and one tap marks a holiday week, so an empty slot never goes unexplained.

See what's missing

Each class shows how many of its timetabled lessons are logged, with the missing ones listed, ready to log.

Dated and honest

Every entry records when it was logged, and edits keep the earlier version, so your register shows it was kept as you went.

Search your teaching

Find what a class covered by topic, tag, note or outcome code: handy for reports, planning next year or handing a class over.

Private to you

Your register is yours, even on a class you share with a colleague. Nothing you write in it is sent to AI, and lessons stay in your register if you delete a class.

PDF or Excel

The PDF lists each class's lessons in date order with outcomes, tags and a tally. The spreadsheet has one lesson per row.

Questions teachers ask

What is a teaching register?

It's a record of what you taught each class and when, sometimes called a program register or day book. Schools expect teachers to keep one so they can show the right content was taught if teaching programs are checked or audited. Requirements differ between states and schools, so check what yours asks for.

How long does logging a lesson take?

Usually under a minute. The class, date and time come from your timetable, so you type the topic and tap a tag or two. We estimate about 30 seconds a lesson, against about 3 minutes writing it up by hand. That's an estimate, not a measurement.

Can I show it to my school or an auditor?

Yes. Download it as a PDF for any classes and dates. It lists each lesson with its curriculum outcomes and tags, gives a reason for every lesson that didn't run, and can show when each entry was logged and edited.

Does it work with a Week A and Week B timetable?

Yes. Teachivo reads two-week timetables, including ones numbered Day 1 to Day 10, and asks you which week it is rather than guessing. You can switch it with one tap when a new term starts.

What if a lesson didn't run?

Log it as not run and pick the reason, such as an excursion, a carnival, an absence or school holidays. A whole holiday week can be marked in one tap.

Does logging use AI?

No. The short summary in each entry is written from your topic and tags, not by AI, and you choose the curriculum outcomes yourself; in Australia they come straight from the official lists. Nothing you write in your register is sent to an AI provider.

Can my colleagues see my register?

No. Your register is private to you, even on a class you share with a colleague for marking and reports.

Is it on the Free plan?

Yes. Every plan can log lessons and download the register. Downloads on the Free plan carry a small "Made with Teachivo" line; Pro downloads don't.
