Frequently asked questions
Getting started
What is Teachivo?
Teachivo is a tool built by a teacher, for teachers. It drafts report comments, worksheets, lesson plans and slides, full primary teaching days, and scope and sequence plans from the teaching you already do, so you spend less time on admin.
Can it plan a whole primary school day?
Yes. For Kindergarten to Year 6, a day pack covers three to five subjects. Each one gets a slide-led lesson and a matching two-page worksheet with an answer key, checked against your bell times and breaks, plus a short guide a relief teacher can follow. Day packs are part of Pro and the free trial.
What happens when my trial ends?
You move to the Free plan automatically. You don't need a card, and everything you've made stays yours. On the Free plan you get a smaller number of resources each month and your downloads carry a Teachivo watermark.
What's the difference between Free and Pro?
Pro gives you many more resources each month and removes the Teachivo watermark from your worksheets, lesson plans and slides.
Who is it for?
Teachers and other education professionals. It's not designed for students or for children to use.
Is there a free trial?
New accounts start with a 30-day trial of everything, and no card is needed to sign up.
How much does it cost after the trial?
See the pricing page for current prices in Australian dollars, billed monthly or yearly. Subscriptions renew each billing period until you cancel.
Accuracy and your work
Is what Teachivo writes always correct?
No. Teachivo uses AI to draft content, and AI can make mistakes. We can't guarantee that any material is 100% accurate or complete, so please read and check everything, including worked answers, syllabus references and report comments, before you use or share it. You stay in charge of the final result.
Can I edit what it generates?
Yes. Worksheets, lesson plans, slides and comments can all be reviewed and edited before you approve or export them.
What can I export?
You can export your work as Word documents, Excel spreadsheets, PDFs and PowerPoint slides, depending on the type of resource.
Which syllabus does it follow?
The one for the state or territory you choose when you sign up: the NSW syllabus in NSW, and the Australian Curriculum v9 everywhere else. Victorian Curriculum 2.0 isn't in Teachivo yet, so Victorian teachers get the Australian Curriculum v9 it's built on. Always check that outcomes match your school's programs.
Privacy and security
What happens to my students' information?
You choose what you enter, and we recommend first names or initials where you can. We don't sell personal information. Read the full details in our Privacy Policy.
Is student information encrypted?
Student full names can be encrypted so that only you (and colleagues you share with) can unlock them. Because we don't hold the keys, we can't recover that information for you.
What if I forget my password?
Reset it by email using "Forgot password" on the log-in page. That gets you back into your account. Your recovery code doesn't log you in. It's only for unlocking encrypted student names after a reset, so we'll ask for it the first time you log in with your new password. Keep the code you were shown when you first set up your account somewhere safe.
What if my own device is compromised?
Keep your password and recovery code private and log out of shared computers. We can't be responsible for breaches that happen on your own devices or accounts.
Does Teachivo use my content to train AI?
We send your content to AI providers only to generate the result you asked for. Their handling of data is covered in our Privacy Policy.
Your account
Can I change my email address?
Not after registering, so please double-check it when you sign up. If it's wrong, contact us.
Can I share classes with colleagues?
Yes, using a school or work email address that lets us verify your organisation. Personal email addresses can't use organisation sharing.
Do you offer refunds?
No. Fees aren't refundable, but you can cancel any time and keep access until the end of the period you've paid for. Your rights under the Australian Consumer Law are not affected. See our Terms and Conditions.
How do I delete my account?
Go to Edit profile from your account menu and choose Delete account at the bottom of the page. You'll confirm with your password. Deletion is permanent and removes your classes, resources and uploaded files. If you have a paid plan, you keep access until the end of the time you've paid for, your plan won't renew, and your account is deleted on that date.
Support
Can our whole school or faculty use Teachivo?
Yes. Principals, head teachers and coordinators can email support@teachivo.net. We'll set Teachivo up for your staff with one invoice, shared rules for report comments, and comment exports set up to match your reporting system, including Sentral and Compass.
How do I contact you or send feedback?
Email support@teachivo.net, or send anonymous feedback from the About page.
Still stuck? Email support@teachivo.net.
