Founder, Teachivo
Hi all, welcome to my project, Teachivo. I'm David. I started building Teachivo while beginning my own teaching career — so this is very much a project made by a teacher, for teachers, from the inside.
The idea came from something I kept hearing, over and over, from teachers around me: report writing is one of the heaviest, most constant pieces of admin work in the job. It doesn't stay at school — it follows teachers home, eats into evenings and weekends, and takes time away from the parts of teaching that actually matter, like the classroom and the students in front of them.
Teachivo is my attempt to give some of that time back. Mark against a rubric, and let the heavy lifting of turning marks into a well-written comment happen for you — you stay fully in control, reviewing and editing every draft before it's ever used. The goal isn't to replace a teacher's judgement, only to remove the repetitive typing around it.
This is early, and it's a genuine work in progress. If you're a teacher using Teachivo and have thoughts, frustrations, or ideas — I'd genuinely like to hear them.
